“Blue Knob State Park consists of 6,128 acres of woodland at the northwestern tip of Bedford County. Guests can access the unique solitude and wilderness of the park any time of the year from sunrise to sunset. There are several areas, including the pool and overnight areas, that are subject to different hours. The park is named for its dome-shaped mountain, which is the second highest mountain in Pennsylvania. Given the park's elevation, temperatures tend be lower than the surrounding cities. If you're visiting in the summer, be sure check out the hiking trails, swimming pool, hunting grounds, horesback riding and mountain biking. Guests visiting in the winter can go cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and snowmobiling. Whatever activity you choose, Blue Knob State Park offers majestic views that will impress anyone. It's a unique attraction that any guest at Omni Bedford Springs Resort should take a day to explore.”
“Founded in 1998, The Altoona Curve is the Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates major-league ball club. The Curve play in Peoples Natural Gas Field, located in Altoona. Located just off Interstate 99, the ballpark is fashioned after a railroad roundhouse a symbol of what made the town of Altoona great and still does. This field features just over 7,200 seats located on two levels. The double-deck layout of the seating section gives Curve fans space to walk around the ballpark freely. Looking out of the park, the setting is within the Allegheny Mountains and a view of "Skyliner" roller coaster from neighboring Lakemont Park.”

“In 1905, Bedford Springs Resort debuted one of the first indoor pools in the United States. Once upon a time, musicians would serenade the swimmers from an elevated opera box, and legend has it that daring sons of visiting dignitaries would plunge into the two-story pool from its upper level. Now you can experience this sparkling gem, fully restored to its lavish beauty. Simply dip into the peaceful waters and relax. “
