FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Courtney and Alex are asking guests to wear their garden party, whimsical or cocktail best! Please leave the temptations to wear jeans and t-shirts at home. The theme of the event is "A Gothic Summer" so feel free to be creative with that! The ceremony and reception will be indoors so everyone can enjoy AC in the June heat. AS IS TRADITION, the bride and groom ask that no one wear white, in honor of the bride. Cream, ivory, and champagne are included in this color family. If you're questioning if the outfit has too much white, it probably does. Please don't be THAT person.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids listed on the wedding invitation are absolutely welcome! All that is asked is that the adults that the children come with, keep an eye on them so festivities can continue safely and smoothly, for all people attending this special day. Kids left unattended will become employees of the winery.

Question

Will there be a bar at the reception?

Answer

There will be an open bar at the reception for all guests 21+ to enjoy! Tips for the hard-working bartenders will be highly appreciated. Alex and Courtney want everyone to have a great time but they also want to encourage safety above all else, please do not plan to drink to intoxication and then drive.

Question

What kind of gifts/registry do you have?

Answer

Cold. Hard. Cash. Only kidding - The bride and groom will have a card box at the wedding, as well as a dollar dance with CashApp/Venmo option. Alex and Courtney have welcomed their son who will undoubtably want to go to college, and has they have also just bought a house please be aware that your attendance is the only physical gift needed! Both the bride and groom have a very stocked home!

Question

What is the latest I can RSVP?

Answer

Courtney and Alex are asking all guests to RSVP by no later than April 19, 2026. The RSVP is essential for the final planning in this event and your help with this is much appreciated.

Question

What kind of activities will be going on that weekend?

Answer

While Washington DC is always busy and therefore, might be a lot to squeeze in, Fredericksburg, VA where the wedding is being held is full of vibrant history, great food, and beautiful nature! Guests can go out on their own to enjoy breweries, spooky cemetery tours, and a walk in historic downtown. For the wedding festivities - there will be a Bridal Shower Dinner for the ladies and a Bourbon and Cigars activity for the boys, a rehearsal dinner that will be open to immediate family the night before the wedding, and the wedding itself. Details for the wedding activities will be provided in the wedding invitations themselves and the website will be updated as we get closer to the date!

Question

Anything else we should be aware of?

Answer

As pretty much everyone has been made aware, Courtney and Alex are officially a family of three! Baby, Connor Leonard, will be 5 months old at the wedding. That being said, the bride and groom are asking that if you attend the wedding, please come healthy. Please don't kiss the baby's face or hands, and just help keep the little guy safe! Everyone will be excited to meet him and the newlyweds assume it'll be a busy day for Connor. Please save meeting him and celebrating with the family for a different day if you experience a fever or any flu-like symptoms.
