One Friday night in downtown Ann Arbor the most unlikely of meetings happened between a Michigan State fan and a Michigan fan. She was a waitress working her way through college and he had recently returned home from the Marines and was also working his way through college. It was by chance that he was visiting his friend who lived in the area and they chose that restaurant, at that time, and they were seated in that booth…in her section. He was enamored by her immediately, but she had many guards up from the past and thought he was “just another”, but she would learn that could not have been further from the truth, for he was one in a trillion. Someone who comes around once in a lifetime. He tested her patience throughout the night, believing he was being cute. By the time she realized the tactic it was the end of the meal and he was slipping her a note. “You should give me a call, if your phone contract allows, unless you have boost mobile in which case you wouldn’t have a phone contract.”. It was with these simple, honest, factual, and nerdy words that he would hook her forever. And that’s the story of him and her……us……our story has begun there, help us to add another chapter as Husband and Wife.
