We’re getting married!

We met at Chi Cha Lounge on U St. in Washington, DC. Victoria's POV: I was seated at the bar, the friends I was with were off to the side. A basketball game was on the television. A man came to the empty stool on my left and started talking to me. His first words were, "so, are you into sports?" That should have been a clue that I was talking to the biggest sports fan on the planet! Of course, I gave him my number. Alex's POV: I saw Victoria randomly at the Chi Cha Lounge, at a happy hour that I wasn’t even supposed to be at and I thought to myself, "this girl looks really cute!" Then I saw her get down off of the stool and then come back to her seat and made a beeline to talk to her.

Victoria's POV: Our first date was Sunday brunch at Brookland's Finest Bar and Kitchen. Alex had sent me the Yelp page and it was okay. He had me at Yelp! What we later would realize would be a recurring theme in our relationship was that Alex would warn me against ordering macaroni and cheese at certain restaurants, I would order it anyway, and it would arrive unbaked and unseasoned, with Alex saying "I told you so." This date lasted five and a half hours and I still wasn't tired of talking to him; however, the season 8 finale of Game of Thrones was coming on that night so I had to go. Alex's POV: I decided on Brookland’s diner for our first date and we had a beautiful brunch but an even better time talking outside about various TV shows and just our everyday life. I couldn’t help but think this girl is smarter and savvier than usual.
