Question

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

Yes! This may be an all-inclusive resort, but let’s be real—the more often you tip, the better the service. Please exchange currency before arriving at the hotel, as they do not offer a currency exchange service. We recommend bringing plenty of $1 USD bills or smaller MXN bills (20, 50, 100s) for tipping. For reference, 20 Pesos = 1 Dollar

Question

Packing Essentials

Answer

Must-Have Items: ✅ Passport – Don’t forget it! Sun & Poolside Essentials: ☀️ Sunscreen & Sunglasses – It gets very sunny (borderline blinding!). 🥤 Optional: Bring a tumbler for cold drinks – staff will fill it, but tipping is expected. 🏖️ Pool floaties – Especially useful at El Dorado Seaside Suites. 👜 Beach bag / Waterproof cell phone bag – Handy for carrying essentials. Footwear: 👟 Walking shoes 👡 Dressy shoes 🏝️ Beach & water shoes (Multipurpose shoes are ideal!) Tipping & Currency 💰 Tipping: While gratuity is included in the resort cost, tipping improves drink service. 💵 Currency Info: The resort does not exchange USD or MXN bills. Bring $1 USD bills OR $20, $50, or $100 MXN for tipping. Outfit Questions? 👗 Check the Things to Do / Schedule for guidance on what to wear.
