What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are asking guests to wear all white formal or traditional attire to the Traditional Engagement. For the Ceremony and Reception please wear formal attire in your colour choice. You can consider wearing the couples wedding colours which are Gold, Champagne, Navy, Powder Blue or Cranberry Red.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

FROM THE AIRPORT Leaving the airport, travel east on Wellington Avenue Turn right on King Edward Street (Route 90) Travel South on Route 90 and exit onto the Portage Avenue East exit (Route 85) Follow the Highway #1 signs on Portage Avenue East Watch for the Broadway exit on the large, green overhead signs You will exit to the right then continue along Broadway to The Fort Garry Hotel The hotel is on the right-hand side FROM THE SOUTH You will traveling North on I-29, which becomes Highway 75 North into Winnipeg Once in the city, Highway 75 becomes Pembina Highway (Route 42) Continue driving North on Route 42 towards the heart of the city After passing River Avenue and traveling across the Midtown Bridge, you will now be on Smith Street At the first set of lights (the intersection of Smith Street and Broadway Avenue) turn right onto Broadway and drive one block to The Fort Garry Hotel, which is on the right-hand side.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

PARKING AT THE FORT GARRY HOTEL Valet parking – $27 + taxes per night (simply pull up at the front of the hotel and hand your keys to either the bellmen or at the front desk during check-in) Self parking – $18 + taxes per night (located off Garry Street at the back of the hotel with access to both a surface lot and underground lot) A SPECIAL NOTE TO HOTEL GUESTS Please remember to register your vehicle at the front desk. Do not leave valuables in plain sight and lock your vehicle. Only visiting for a few hours? Keep your ticket and pay in the gift shop located off the lobby before you leave.
