Our wedding will be a full Roman Catholic Mass held at Saint Joseph Abbey; out of respect for the Holy Sacrament, we ask that all in attendance dress modestly, regardless of spiritual beliefs. For the ladies, this means that your chest and bottom should be adequately covered, and dresses should not be bodycon style, see-through, or have large/inappropriate cutouts. For the gentlemen, this means that closed-toed shoes and pants should be worn with at least a button-up. For all, we recommend stable walking shoes - there is a mixture of cobblestones and concrete paving the way to the Abbey's doors, and the parking lot is gravel!
We ask that all guests be seated in the Abbey by 1:40 pm; the doors to the Church will close and remain closed to arriving guests at 1:45 pm to ensure the smooth flow of the ceremony.
We love your kiddos dearly, but all children (16 years or under) invited to the wedding have been specifically addressed on your invitations, either by name or the indication "family!"
The immediate and extended families of both the bride and the groom, as well as anyone in their wedding party, should be prepared to stay on the property after the ceremony has concluded for thirty to forty minutes to allow for additional photography. All guests may be photographed at the reception!
