FAQs

The Wedding Website of Victoria Lovell and Tyler Blum
Question

Are the ceremony and reception going to be in the same place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held on the 11th Street Beach; It is just a short walk across the boardwalk from The Flanders. Cocktail hour and reception will immediately follow, inside The Flanders Hotel.

Question

What if there is inclement weather?

Answer

We have our fingers crossed for clear skies on our special day! In the event that there is inclement weather, our ceremony will be held indoors. Please see the maitre d' on the day-of for more information.

Question

Is the beach ceremony handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes. There are ramps on the boardwalk that will take you directly onto the beach. Special beach wheelchairs are available upon request. Please reach out to us in advance if you need one! Additionally, there are elevators within The Flanders that take you from the main floor up to the reception area.

Question

Can I take photos/videos at the ceremony?

Answer

We understand that you may be excited to capture and share the day, however we want all of our guests to remain as present as possible during such an important and intimate moment of our lives. For this reason, we are requesting a cell phone-free ceremony. Additionally, this will ensure our paid photographers and videographers get the best shots possible. We promise to share the professional content ASAP! You are welcome to take as many photos and videos as you like at the reception. Thank you for your cooperation!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with as many people as possible, due to budget and space constraints, only those who receive a formal invitation can attend the wedding. It will be indicated on your invitation if you will be receiving a plus-one.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we have decided to make our special day an adults-only occasion. We thank you for respecting this decision and encourage you to use this time as a night off and let loose. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Where should I park my car?

Answer

The Flanders has their own paid-parking lot (mention the wedding to the lot attendant to receive a discount). It may fill up quickly, but rest-assured, there is a paid-public parking lot across the street from the venue. Street parking may also be available on a first-come-first-serve-basis.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We request that our guests dress in formal or cocktail attire. Although our ceremony will be held on the beach, swimsuits and casual attire are not appropriate for the occasion. Ladies are welcome to wear cocktail dresses (short, midi or maxi dresses are all acceptable). Out of respect for the bride, please refrain from wearing white, ivory, or cream colored dresses. Gentlemen are welcome to wear a suit, or slacks and a dress shirt with a sport coat. Please refrain from wearing casual attire such as jeans, tee shirts, or polo shirts.
