How do we get there?

Answer

The best way to get there is to drive or carpool with someone. Please contact us if you need us to pair you with another guest to carpool. Another option is taking the Amtrak to Hudson, NY. It's inexpensive, especially if you book early. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to be picked up and dropped off at the Amtrak station.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Black Tie Optional. That just means dress more on the formal side, elegant and classy. Please use common sense. (No clubbing outfits, t-shirts, sweatpants, gym shorts, etc.) Females: Please do NOT wear white. Long dresses or cocktail dresses are fine. Males: A button down with a suit and tie/bow is fine. Tuxedos are not necessary. The wedding is going to be Elven Forest vibes, I wouldn't be opposed to anyone wearing a costume. Just saying ;D

May I bring my child or baby?

Answer

Family members, the wedding party, or children with special needs are definitely allowed to bring their child. We were originally doing a child-free wedding but a lot of people were having a really hard time finding baby sitters so we are relaxing this rule. Please email us though if you are bringing your kid if you haven't already.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Will there be mosquitoes?

Answer

Please note the venue is outdoors in the woods so there may be bugs. However the venue has a carbon dioxide mosquito trap and we will provide bug spray, so we don't foresee it being an issue. Perhaps consider a long dress if you are concerned.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Please email us if you would like to add a plus one. We have a little wiggle room.

May I bring my dog?

Answer

Sorry, aside from our dog, Coco. The venue does not allow dogs.

What is the bathroom situation?

Answer

There are 2-3 fully furnished bathrooms. Don't worry NO portapotties... thank goodness!

Do we need umbrellas?

Answer

Yes, please bring an umbrella just in case! The whole wedding is outdoors except for the dinner area.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please email us with your dietary restrictions. The dinner will be buffet style and there will be vegan options. Everyone should be able to select food that meets their needs. Please still email us your dietary restrictions.

Will there be AC?

Answer

Unfortunately the entire wedding is outdoors, so no AC. However it should not be an issue since it is an late afternoon/evening wedding. When we visited the venue on a hot June day the forest canopy and small waterfall kept the site very cool. There are also many fans and a roof over the reception area.

How many people will be at the wedding?

It's going to be a small wedding about 65-70 people.

Why was I not invited to the Rehearsal Dinner?

Answer

Sorry, we would love to have everyone join us for each and every event if we had all the money in the world, but unfortunately we are on a tight budget and had to make many difficult decisions and cuts. Please understand.

Is there a place I can breastfeed?

Answer

Yes! The loft above the reception area will be designated as the breastfeeding room since there are a few new mothers. No males are allowed in the loft including fathers. So all the moms can have privacy. The only exception is the photographer who will make sure no one is in there before entering so he can get some shots overlooking the reception. Coco, our dog, will also be resting in this room.
