Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

No, we have a bartender for a reason and they will be providing all drinks. Per the venue rules no outside alcohol is allowed and if you bring any you will be asked to leave the property. Seriously don't make us loose our deposit.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having a "social media minute" at the beginning of the ceremony where you are allowed to take photos of the bride and groom for one minute at the alter. After that minute we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we have hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we would hate to have a person's phone/device blocking that moment for her to capture. After the ceremony and post ceremony/family photos are done please feel free to take as many photos as you want! Please make sure to use our hashtag if you decide to post on social media under #allyouneedislovejoy so that we can keep track of all of the memories! We promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them.

Is there a dress code or colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting semi-formal dress code for our evening. Wear whatever color you would like but please do not wear colors typically reserved for the bride (white, cream, ivory, etc.) or dusty blue.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside as long as the weather cooperates. The reception will be held in the barn, but it is not heated or cooled so please plan accordingly!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We would like everyone to be seated and ready 15 minutes before the ceremony starts (3:45pm).

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We respectfully request that you leave your kiddos at home who are under the age of 16 and enjoy our adult- only wedding night.

Can I bring guests/plus one's not noted on my invitation?

Answer

We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself and your guest.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, guests will be parking on grass near the ceremony spot, so please plan accordingly.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! There are not many hotels very close to our venue, however we have picked out a couple airbnbs and hotels within 15 to 20 minutes of our venue. We have booked hotel blocks at 2 different hotels with discounted rates in Geneseo, so please give them a call. Please see the travel page for more information.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but please ensure that you have a safe ride home from the venue. Cars are allowed to be left overnight, but need to be gone from the venue by Sunday.

Is there a registry?

Answer

Thank you very much for being so generous! We ask only of your love and presence but if a present is your desire, we would be honored with anything that you decided to get us off our registry here on zola or our target or Amazon registry.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so that we can plan accordingly, thank you!
