We both moved to Indy after college graduation to work for our fraternal organizations. At the consultant BBQ, our paths crossed because there happen to be the perfect amount of empty seats at Mike's table. Our paths continued to cross throughout the summer. By the time fall came around we knew we had something special. Two cross-country moves later, we planted our roots in Indy and adopted our puppy Bella.

With a cover of taking our out-of-town friend, Allister, to the canal, we drove downtown to the White River State Park. Mike took Tess to the middle of the green, got down on one knee and popped the question! We all celebrated afterwards with brunch and champagne at the JW. After we returned to the house, Tess' parents surprised her! Our housewarming party planned for later that night became a surprise engagement party!
