During Winter Storm Uri, we didn't think that having a big reception in June would have been a wise decision. At that time, we had no idea when Texas would reopen so we could celebrate with everyone we loved. We made the decision to postpone the week before Abbott announced he would open the state up with no restrictions in March. Look at the bright side, June 12, 2021 was extremely hot and miserable. Beautiful day, but a level of toasty that we didn't expect.
It's the party part of our wedding! It's our favorite part of going to weddings.
If your invitation says "and guest", then yes. Otherwise, we would prefer it it was just you.
We've been waiting through the pandemic to celebrate, so we want everyone to cut loose and have a good time. We hope you understand our decision to make the reception child free to enjoy a night without worrying about little eyes and ears.
We respectfully ask for responses by November 30, and will be following up in December with anyone who did not respond.
We did not invite COVID-19 to the wedding, so we hope that none of you help it crash our party. We strongly encourage vaccination and/or testing beforehand. We will have sanitizer available and if the CDC guidelines change before January 8th, we will be sure to follow. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. We are happy to help accommodate anyone who is at higher risk to ensure their safety. Remember, we love everyone we invited, so please be respectful of those who make different choices than you may have.
Yes, just let us know. We have vegetarian dishes available and are not planning to include pork in the main meal.
