Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is outdoors on Nicollet Island at 5:00 PM. The cocktail hour and reception move inside the pavilion. September in Minneapolis should be beautiful. We're planning for a perfect evening and ask that you do the same.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Vibrant Formal. Formal attire is the baseline — think floor to mid-length cocktail dresses or gowns, suits or tuxes, and dressy separates. We love bright, floral, vibrant colors and want the venue to be filled with energy from the attire. Color examples: punchy red, deep cobalt, sunny yellow, magenta, tangerine, emerald green, and violet. The ceremony is outdoors, and reception is indoors, so keep that in mind for footwear.

Is there parking on Nicollet Island?

Answer

Parking on the island is available, but we recommend ridesharing (the address is 40 Power St, Minneapolis, MN 55413) or using a guest shuttle from the hotel block, as we can't guarantee a spot for everyone.

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your kids. For this evening, we've kept the guest list to adults and immediate family children only. We hope you'll take the opportunity to enjoy a night out and we'll make it worth it. For those planning to bring younger kids for the weekend, feel free to reach out to Emily & Ben for babysitter recommendations in the area. *Saturday’s afternoon get together at the Wayzata Yacht Club will be family and kid-friendly!*

Answer

We have hotel blocks with discounted rates at several downtown Minneapolis hotels — see the Travel section for details and booking links. We recommend booking early as rooms are limited. Additionally, VRBO and AirBnB are great sites for larger group rentals around the Twin Cities. Reach out to Emily & Ben if you have any questions about rental locations.
