#TosToThePalmers
Lagos, Nigeria is the perfect choice for our traditional wedding—a place where love, culture, and family come together. For Tosin, a proud Yoruba woman, Lagos represents home, heritage, and deep-rooted traditions. For Kyhlil, born in Philadelphia, this wedding is a journey into the heart of Tosin’s culture—one that he has embraced with excitement and deep respect. We are weaving together our unique backgrounds in a way that honors where we come from and the future we are building together. We can’t wait to share this beautiful experience with you in 'Our Lagos!' #LoveInLagos💛✨
How It All Started... In the summer of 2021, the world was finally opening back up, and like everyone else, Tosin and her friends, Amy & Tite, were eager to be outside again. So, they decided to enjoy a rooftop day party in Deep Ellum—good music, great energy, and much-needed fun. Unbeknownst to them, Kyhlil and his best friend Dion had the exact same plan that day. Hours passed, full of laughter, great conversations, and good vibes all around. And then, as if timing had a plan of its own, Kyhlil found himself in conversation with Amy and Tite while Tosin was busy chatting with someone else. But when a small window of opportunity opened, he made his move—walking up to Tosin with a well-placed compliment. A brief exchange followed, Instagram handles and phone numbers were shared, and just like that, they went their separate ways, unaware that this quick moment would be the start of something much bigger Six months later, while casually scrolling through Instagram, Tosin saw a photo of Kyhlil in Dubai and decided to reach out. What started as a simple comment quickly turned into a real conversation—about life, careers, and future plans. Kyhlil shared that he was in Dubai for his MBA at SMU, and Tosin mentioned she was working on a start-up with her colleague, Angel. As fate would have it, they were in need of a marketing consultant. One thing led to another, and what started as a business discussion turned into the beginning of a real partnership. Over the next few months, Kyhlil helped incorporate Tosin & Angel’s start-up into his MBA coursework. They worked closely together, exchanging ideas, learning from each other, and—without realizing it—building a genuine friendship. When the project came to an end (and yes, Kyhlil got an A!), they decided to celebrate. They went out for dinner at Paradiso, arriving just before closing time. The restaurant emptied out, leaving just the two of them, deep in conversation, sharing plates, and laughing until they were (very politely) told it was time to leave. And in that moment, there was an unspoken understanding—this was just the first of many more celebrations to come. And that’s exactly what happened. A chance meeting, a well-timed DM, a shared vision, and a friendship that turned into something greater. Now, here we are, ready to celebrate the next chapter of our story—with you. We can’t wait to celebrate this special day together! 💛✨
