Royalton is located on the north end of the island, about 1.5 -2 hours from UVF by car. The drive is scenic and along the coast. It is highly recommended to bring anti-nausea medication (such as Dramamine, Bonine, or ginger-based remedies) if you are prone to motion sickness. Take the medication before starting your ride. Other Remedies: Ginger candy, seabands, and peppermint oil have been recommended by travelers for this route. Transportation Options: 1. Private Airport Transfer (Most Recommended) This is the easiest and most comfortable option. Drivers meet you outside customs and take you directly to the resort. Can be booked in advance at the link provided. Air-conditioned vehicles Ideal if traveling with luggage or in groups Approx. cost: $70–$95 USD one-way (varies by group size) 2. Shared Shuttle Some companies offer shared shuttles at a lower cost per person. More affordable May involve waiting for other passengers and additional stops 3. Taxi at the Airport Taxis are available upon arrival, but pricing can vary. Cash is often preferred (USD accepted) 4. Public Transportation (Not Recommended) While possible, this option requires multiple buses and isn’t ideal with luggage or after a long flight. 5. Alternative Transport: To avoid the winding road completely, consider the "Hewanorra Express" ferry or a helicopter transfer, though these are more expensive.
