We’re getting married!

Our story began on St. Patrick's Day weekend two years ago. We had mutual friends who thought we might hit it off, so they invited us to the same party that morning. We were briefly introduced before we parted ways shortly after to continue the festivities. I was feeling especially bold and forced the ball into Evan’s court - requesting that he somehow find my phone number and get into contact with me if he was interested in a pursuit. He did, of course, and we met up again later that afternoon, having our very first date at a coffee shop next to the bar. From there, we were pretty much inseparable, and the rest is history!

The proposal story takes us to Barcelona. It was our first full day there and Evan insisted on waking up at the crack of dawn (typical Evan, but not typical Barcelona) to go explore the Parc de la Ciutadella. We started at a coffee shop to grab breakfast, where Evan was too nervous to eat. We made our way to the park, (Evan’s hand was in his pocket the entire walk over, refusing to hold my hand, but I was too concentrated on the picturesque surroundings to notice) walked around a bit, and then landed at the beautiful fountain. I started taking my own pictures, when Evan asked me to take a selfie to move me closer to the ideal backdrop. I of course was being difficult and refused, so Evan dropped down right there and popped the question! I was stunned and might have used some expletives before I of course said YES! We then turned around to be greeted by the photographer Evan hired to capture the moment. For the rest of the morning, we walked around the park, champagne in hand, taking more pictures and enjoying the scenery. The rest of the trip was a celebration. Check out the pictures on our website!
