HOW THEY MET 
They knew of one another during middle school, but didn’t officially meet until they ran track together in high school. It was spring semester of 2013, Ivis was a senior and Colin was a junior. They mastered hurdles (first of many) and began to realize how much opposites attract. HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS Their first date was at Purple Banana in Old Town Bay St. Louis. Colin pulled up in the Mazdaratti and knocked on Ivis’s front door. From then on, they were inseparable. Track meets, beach days, dinner dates, camping and the best of all: senior prom. A pack of skittles made for a perfect promposal, and pictures from that day say it all. THE REUNION 
After high school, Ivis went to Ole Miss and Colin went to Jones (later Tulane). A mutual decision to go separate ways and forge their own paths was a blessing in disguise. Three years later, a random Snapchat exchange had Colin back in the game. It was official on December 1st, and it was for real this time. THE LITTLE THINGS ADD UP - Favorite Spot: benches on the beach at the foot of Arcadian Bay - Favorite Holiday To Spend Together: Mardi Gras - Favorite Trip: Cotton Bowl 2023, Tulane vs. USC. Arlington, Tx - Favorite Activity: dancing (line dances, two-stepping- all of 'em) - Favorite Things To Do: New Orleans day trips, museums & art, food & drink finds, gym days - Favorite Tradition: Eating at Italian Pie every Valentine’s Day WHEN THEY KNEW 
Ivis knew this was it after one of their anniversary dinners at Italian Pie, but Colin knew within a month of The Reunion in 2016. THE PROPOSAL 
December 1, 2021 marked their five year anniversary and traditional visit to the New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center. A stroll through Audubon Park was spent reminiscing on their story and best memories together. They made their way to the lakeside amphitheater and as Ivis took in the sunset, Colin dropped to one knee. The proposal was simple, spontaneous, and just for them.
