Now begins the adventure of a lifetime...

From her point of view: I had just moved to Charlotte after a call from a college roommate begging for someone to come down and take over the second bedroom in her apartment. I, being one always up for adventure, made the decision very quickly and was down in the "other" Queen City just 10 days later. During my first weekend in Charlotte, my roommate decided to throw a cookout and invite everyone she had met so that I could start meeting people, little did I know that would be the night I met my best friend. Zach had this fun, outgoing, playful personality that instantly drew me in and wanted to know more; unfortunately, he had a girlfriend and that was that. We would see each other from time to time at church, but never spoke much outside of it. It wasn't until a couple years later, after I had moved to Nebraska, that I thought to reach out. The day before I had moved away from Charlotte we realized we had the same birthday, so it was then on New Year's Day 2013 that I decided to send a Facebook post counting down to our birthday. We ended up texting, talking and even having Netflix dates every day until I was down in Charlotte with a girlfriend for her spring break and my birthday. It was history from there. My what an adventure it's been over the last 5 years; I can't imagine what the rest of life has to offer.

I met Ashley through church. She was a new singer brought on and when I saw her I thought she was cute but that I had no chance since she was 4 years older than me. I moved on and didn’t think much about it until we went to a party for those involved with music and production at church. That’s where we figured out we had a lot in common, like we have the same birthday. The first spark was formed there. I still didn’t think I had any sort of chance with her, plus she was moving back to Nebraska, so I let her go again. A few months went by when I got a Happy New Year message on facebook from Ash. She said she was traveling back to Charlotte for her birthday and she wanted to see me. After that message we did not stop talking. Everyday I would send her a message and everyday I got a response. When I saw her on our birthday March 23, 2013 I knew I wanted to date her. She had my heart. Even while dating long distance and having some lows, we never could let go of each other.
