Our fairytale

June 2nd

Our families were long time friends from church, Chel'seas family was from Texas and would visit Miami every summer for years. We didn't notice each other until we were 13, We began to email, "kik" and talked on the phone after 7pm (when it was free) and were infatuated. On June 2nd, 2010, Chel'sea emailed me that she liked me, I responded that I did too and the wild ride commenced. Although, things didn't remain as blissful as they began, we grew apart but over the years we remained each others first love and remained friends. That feeling was like a wave that rushed through different events over the years, we told each other everything first. We would randomly call each other when we were single and spend hours on the phone as if no time had passed. It was an unbreakable bond that always reeled us in to a fantasy of "What if's" and long dreams that we never thought possible. Until, November 2018 when we accidentally bumped into each other again on a random vacation Chel'sea had planned with no intention on seeing me, we were in two different seasons in life. But God had greater plans for both of our lives, our reunion felt like a sweet reminder of His unfailing love. Chel'sea was transparent that there was tape that was holding some parts of her together but I couldn't let go again. When I saw her I felt the same love I always held for her, I saw my girl. There was a still voice in me, like God telling me I couldn't let her leave again. So, we remained friends while reconnecting and took things slow. With the blessing of our parents and our church's we became official on December 1, 2019 and I knew already I would propose on June 2 of the following year.

June 2nd

First comes dating, then comes the proposal

I knew I wanted to propose to Chel'sea the moment she was back in life, but it was when we became official that I knew for certain I wanted to propose the following year on June 2nd. COVID-19 came in and wrecked many of my long anticipated planning that included her family and extravagant things but as evident as Jesus has been throughout our relationship I was foolish to think my plans were greater. God had other things in store, we ended up planning a "decade anniversary" photoshoot that meant a lot to us both. I spoke to my parents first and then, along with my dad, I asked for her hand in marriage from her dad. In the intimate moment where it was just us two and the photographers, they had us take pictures back to back and then one of the photographers told her to turn around where she saw me on one knee. I got the answer that made me the happiest man on earth, God has flourished our ministries, lives and our characters through our relationship, we can't wait to see how He continues to expand our abilities through our engagement and marriage. We dreamed of living these moments when we were 14, we're blessed to have eachother and we can't wait to say "I DO" to have forever.
