Question

What is "Fall Day"?

Answer

Fall Day is for celebrating all the fall things... and hopefully the end of DC humidity. Typically, Fall Day also includes donuts at Apple House and apple picking at Hollin Farms, but this year's abridged version will still include Bluemont Vineyard and Great Country Farms/Henway Hard Cider. Big sparks flew at the Third Annual Fall Day, and it's now an important part of Aaron and Natalie's love story.

Question

Where's your registry?!

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift. But if you really, really, really insist, you may contribute to our honeymoon fund via Venmo (@nhengstebeck).

Question

We are out-of-towners and we can't make it in September. How can we celebrate you?

Answer

Please come visit us in 2026! We'd love to host you and spend actual quality time with you! Let us know if you're interested in visiting we'll follow up about planning a visit when schedules permit. :)

Question

Do you have any Bluemont factoids?

Answer

Yes--so glad you asked! In addition to charming wineries, Bluemont is home to Mount Weather, the primary relocation site for high-level civilian and military officials in case of emergencies, playing a significant role in continuity of government. But more importantly, it was once home to a Soviet "Summer Camp": https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/soviet-embassys-summer-camp-house
