Alex and I met in our freshman year of college at Florida Atlantic University. We became friends through my college roommate and instantly hit it off (even though he will tell you I say I don't remember meeting him). We took similar classes our sophomore year which resulted in a lot of late night attempts at studying which turned into staying up until 3 a.m. talking about anything and everything (mostly me talking about why I think everything in the world is so weird, and Alex rolling his eyes at me). We started hanging out more frequently and the rest is history! We officially started dating December, 2010. The summer after graduation Alex moved back to Massachusetts, while I stayed in Florida which was the beginning of our long distance hell…. I mean journey. They aren't kidding when they say long distance relationships are hard. Seeing each other once a month if we were lucky was definitely trying, but in the end it made us better. We suffered through the long distance for a year before I decided to make the move up to Boston to obtain my Master’s degree. August, 2017 marks three years of being a New Englander and if you’re wondering, I still hate the winter. We now have a beautiful home and the cutest little fur babies, who I think Alex loves more than me sometimes, and we couldn't be happier! The next box to check off the list is, marriage! See ya soon July 28, 2018. We’re ready for ya!
