What day should I arrive in Sorrento?
Answer
Our first experience together will be a welcome dinner in Sorrento on Monday night June 2nd. It would be reasonable to arrive in Sorrento either that day, or the day before if you anticipate needing to rest after traveling.

How much money should I save or bring?
Answer
It really depends on how much you are willing to spend, but here's some info that can help you decide: We do not expect any gifts. Your presence is the present! We will provide dinner for our guests on Monday through Wednesday. Also, most hotels offer complimentary breakfast each morning. However, we cannot cover airfare, travel to/from the airport, or hotel costs for guests. These are the areas where you should focus your budget, as they will inevitably be the largest parts of it. The good news is there are budget-friendly options for all three. We strongly suggest booking your airfare, hotel, and other travel arrangements well in advance for the best cost and availability.

What should I pack?
Answer
Definitely bring typical travel essentials like sunscreen, sunglasses, flip flops, and comfortable walking shoes. In terms of clothing, there is no strict formal dress code. Check the Schedule page for some tips on what to wear on each day! It will be the summer season, so bring shorts, hats, open-sleeve tops, and clothes made of breathable material.

Will I need Euros?
Answer
Yes, you will need to buy some Euros if paying for things in cash. Most credit cards are accepted in Sorrento, but might come with foreign transaction fees. Many shops also offer discounts for paying in cash. We suggest you order Euros from your bank before the trip, though you can buy some at the airport in a pinch.

Should I leave room in my luggage for souvenirs?
Answer
If you plan on buying locally-made souvenirs, it's a good idea. Though some vendors offer shipping to the U.S. for larger orders such as multiple bottles, large paintings, etc.
