We're getting married!

Our story begins at Alexis’ family camp—Charlies’ Roost—in Tionesta, PA. Michael had been best friends with Alexis’ cousin Billy for years, so they’d crossed paths plenty of times but never really connected. To Alexis, though, Michael was always “Billy’s cute friend with all the hats.” In the close quarters of camp—and with a bit of liquid courage—the two finally started talking. They spent the entire trip together, laughing, having fun, and even practicing their headstands in the grass. By the end of the weekend, something felt different. What started as a simple camp hangout quickly turned into a connection neither of them expected. When they got home, they kept talking… and talking. Messages turned into late-night phone calls, and before long, they were planning their next visit. One visit became many, and soon they couldn’t imagine life without each other. What began in the grass at Charlies’ Roost grew into a partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and an ease that felt like home. They’ve now been together for ten years—experiencing all of life’s ups and downs side by side. They navigated college, stepped into adulthood, learned the rhythm of work life, and found balance together. They moved into their first apartment, adopted their beloved cat Colby Jack, and traveled to Turkey, Greece, and Italy. And on January 22nd, in Indianapolis—with their best friends Ashley and Jackson by their sides—Michael proposed. Now, ten years later, that camp-weekend spark has brought them to one of the most exciting chapters yet—planning their wedding. After a decade of adventures, laughter, growth, and choosing each other every day, they knew exactly where they wanted to say “I do.” The beach has always been their happy place—their spot to recharge, dream, and simply be. So it only felt right to celebrate their next big adventure surrounded by their favorite people, with the sound of the waves and sand beneath their feet. Soon, they’ll begin the rest of their lives in the place that brings them the most peace and joy—hand in hand, with everyone they love cheering them on.
