Officiant
I met Jeff about a decade ago while acquiring supplies from various Arby's locations for my own. Our connection grew from shared interests like cooking and music to a deep friendship marked by unwavering support through life's changes. We've supported each other through life's changes, including Jeff becoming a father and us moving to Missouri, and our bond has grown stronger. When Blake and I decided on a park wedding, the question of who would officiate arose, and before I could say anything, Blake suggested Jeff. He recognized Jeff's background as a theology student, his aspiration for a career within the church, and my desire to have him play a meaningful role in our wedding. When we asked Jeff, we had no idea this request would lead him to leave the service industry behind to pursue his dream wholeheartedly. We can't imagine anyone else marrying us. Rev. Jeffrey Self, an ordained minister with Christian Harvest Church, brings a profoundly unique perspective to his wedding officiant service. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and a devout Christian, he has faced challenges within the faith, taking three years to find an accepting non-denominational church. His decision to become a marriage officiant is driven by his mission to spread the LOVE of God, emphasizing the message to LOVE GOD and LOVE ALL PEOPLE. This personal journey adds a distinctive and compassionate dimension to his role in uniting couples in matrimony through a message of inclusivity and divine love.
