Baalbek is home to the temple complex which includes two of the largest and grandest Roman temple ruins in Lebanon: the Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Jupiter. Since 1984 a UNESCO World Heritage site it's definitely worth a visit! About 2hours from Beirut it's located in the Beeka Valley. Fun Fact on the side: it's 30min away from Nadim's home village Ras Balbeek.
Byblos, today called Jbeil, is one of the oldest cities of the world. The port was very important for the Phoenicians and Romans. It has a wonderful beach, a nice old souk and the crusader castle!
Batroun is home to the oldest partially man built wall in the sea! Built by the Phoneciancs it protects until today the city from tides. In the past a perl diving hot spot if offers a cute little souk and nice sunsets.
Aanjar is located in the Beeka valley. The ruins are remains from the Umayyyade period in the 8th century.
