Lebanon is a very diverse country with a lot of culture & history! Please see here some of our favourite spots: We are happy to help organise travel! For anyone planning to stay on after the wedding, we will plan trips together on Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th September. Please let us know if you feel like joining so we can organise the trip (bus etc.) :)

Baalbek Roman Ruins

Baalbek is home to the temple complex which includes two of the largest and grandest Roman temple ruins in Lebanon: the Temple of Bacchus and the Temple of Jupiter. Since 1984 a UNESCO World Heritage site it's definitely worth a visit! About 2hours from Beirut it's located in the Beeka Valley. Fun Fact on the side: it's 30min away from Nadim's home village Ras Balbeek.

Byblos

Byblos, Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon

Byblos, today called Jbeil, is one of the oldest cities of the world. The port was very important for the Phoenicians and Romans. It has a wonderful beach, a nice old souk and the crusader castle!

Batroun

Batroun, North Governorate, Lebanon

Batroun is home to the oldest partially man built wall in the sea! Built by the Phoneciancs it protects until today the city from tides. In the past a perl diving hot spot if offers a cute little souk and nice sunsets.

Aanjar

Aanjar, Beqaa Governorate, Lebanon

Aanjar is located in the Beeka valley. The ruins are remains from the Umayyyade period in the 8th century.

Beiteddine Palace

National Museum of Beirut

For any history lover a absolute must - amazing tombs and mosaics and only 500m away from the church :) The museum store is a great place to find unique souvenirs to take home.

Cedars Of God Bsharri

Bsharri, North Governorate, Lebanon

Cedar Trees are the national symbol of Lebanon! Famous for the longevity and resistance. These old trees have seen a lot of history; according to the legend their name goes back to a battle between the demigods and humans over this beautiful spot. Used already by the Phoenicians for the trading boats go here to discover the symbol of the lebanese flag!

Jeita Grotto

Explore another natural wonder of Lebanon - the Jeita Grotto! The longest cave in the Middle East it's nearly 9km offers wonderful stalactites and stalagmites.
