Nate and I went on our first “official” date in March 2016. We walked around the city, talking and getting to know one another. It was one of the first times we had ever seen each other in person, yet it felt so…. natural. During our first year, I graduated high school and moved away for University… As 18 year olds we thought that was one of the hardest things our relationship would endure. We quickly found out just how faithful God truly is. Fast Forward to 2017 we decided to take our first trip together and visit CA. During our time there we, discovered a special place off of Point Dune where we could watch the sunset. It became our escape. We fell in love with the West Coast and have gone back to explore different areas ever since. Marriage has never been a foreign subject to us - in fact I would say we have known we wanted to spend our forevers together pretty early on in the relationship. February 22, 2020 we found ourselves in our usual spot in California amidst a beautiful sunset. Nate decided it would be funny to "fake" propose and fool our parents, we talked about this in Vegas but dropped the idea... I was MORTIFIED, no way was I going to let him get down on one knee with my promise ring for a prank. From this moment on everything happened so fast - Before I knew it was down on one knee and pulling out this beautiful ring, like that looked nothing like a promise ring. Words can't describe what I was feeling - of course I said yes! We cried and laughed and much to my surprise after turning around, I realized Nate arranged for our friends to fly out and celebrate with us. We had the most magical next few days with close friends and family, celebrating this new season. Autumn 2021 - we will be saying "I do" in an intimate ceremony surrounded by those we love. We can't wait to share such a special day with you.
