Question

Can I take a pictures during the mass/ wedding ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not. Our photographer (IG: @catholicweddingphotography) is very talented and we trust him fully to capture all of our beautiful moments before and during the Mass and during the reception! You can sit back, enjoy, and be present!

Question

Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

Of course! We just ask that they remain with an adult at all times and if they begin to get fussy during the mass and ceremony, the nursery will be available and open.

Question

Are there any cultural traditions you will be including in your wedding?

Answer

Yes! Andrew and Lulu deeply cherish their Southern and Hispanic/Latino upbringings, and they’re excited to share meaningful elements of both cultures with you. As part of the wedding party, you’ll notice the inclusion of Primary and Secondary Sponsors, a tradition in many Hispanic/Latino weddings. These individuals are often people who have played an important role in shaping the lives of the bride and groom. Another tradition you may see at the reception is the Money Dance. This is an optional opportunity for guests to share a special dance with the bride or groom while offering a small gift as a gesture of love and support for their new life together. To make things easy, instead of pinning money, there will be a designated cash box available. For those who prefer not to carry cash, a Venmo option will also be provided.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

A detailed answer is listed under the schedule tab. But most importantly please avoid white, ivory, and anything close to those colors.

Question

Where would it be most convenient to stay if I am traveling?

Answer

There are many wonderful places to stay in Chattanooga if you’re visiting, including both hotels and Airbnbs. The Basilica is located in downtown Chattanooga, and the reception venue is about 20 minutes away. Most out-of-town guests so far have chosen to book hotels closer to the reception space, around the Hamilton Place area, but it truly comes down to whatever you’re most comfortable with. There are also plenty of Airbnbs available throughout the area!

Question

Will alcohol be served at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, however, it is a cash bar!
