Jake and Louise met the old-fashioned way... on Hinge. At the time, Louise was living in Chicago while Jake was getting his master’s degree and playing soccer in Wisconsin. Thanks to his busy schedule, they were pen pals for three long months before finally meeting in December 2022. Just two weeks later, they shared their first “I love you,” and two weeks after that, Jake asked Louise to be his girlfriend. Fast forward to April 2025, Louise thought she was heading to a Trisha Paytas show, but as she was walking through Lincoln Park to her Uber, Jake was waiting beneath the Honeycomb structure to propose. Afterward, he surprised her with all of their family and friends - and to top it all off, their engagement was featured in People Magazine.
