FAQs

Question

What should we do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our Catholic ceremony will be a full Mass and will last approximately one hour. Afterward, you’ll have some time to freshen up, grab lunch or a drink, and enjoy a little time around Siesta Key before the celebration continues. We’ll see you for Cocktail Hour at 5:00 PM at the Milikin Residence.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is Formal Attire, with a distinctly Florida spring feel. Gentlemen, suits or coat and tie are appropriate. Our reception will be outdoors overlooking the water, so keep the Florida breeze in mind. And if you’d prefer to wear a more cocktail-appropriate look to the Catholic ceremony and change into your formal attire for the reception, that is absolutely welcome!

Question

What is the plan for transportation?

Answer

Rideshare transportation is encouraged, as parking at the Milikin Residence will be limited. Shuttle service will be available from the Sarasota Modern to the ceremony, and valet parking will also be provided at the residence.

Question

Is the wedding adults-only?

Answer

Yes! Our reception will be an adults-only celebration. With the pool and waterfront setting at the Milikin Residence, we feel this will allow everyone to relax and enjoy the evening together. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you!
