Hiking the Fire Towers
There are 3 fire towers to hike up in the area (Tremper, Hunter, Overlook). Tremper is the steepest at 3 miles long with 2 of the miles over 2,000 feet of elevation. Hunter is the tallest beginning at 1,600 feet with the firetower at 4,040 feet. And overlook is an easy fire road to hike up with family. Driving to the south side of the Ashokan reservoir is an unbelievable view.
