In the fall of 2012, Jackie was starting her freshman year at Cornell. By chance, she ended up on the Cornell Cheerleading team! The captain of the team, her dear friend Mackenzie, organized a start-of-year mixer with one of the fraternities on campus, SigEp, which Louis happened to be a member of. Upon arrival to the party, the new cheerleaders were introduced to a roomful of fraternity brothers (many that will be in attendance of the wedding). When it came time for Jackie and Louis to introduce themselves, they reached out their hands in what ended up being the most awkward, finger-tangled handshake known to man. Just when they thought their meeting could not be redeemed, Louis heard Jackie's Greek last name and knew it was too good to be true! Many conversations, "dates" (aka fraternity parties), and text messages later, they made their relationship official in June of 2013. Louis and Jackie spent two full years together at Cornell, before Louis's graduation in 2014. Upon graduation, Louis moved to Arlington, VA to work as a Software Engineer. Fortunately, his company frequently sent him back to Ithaca for recruiting events. After two years of long distance, Jackie landed her first full-time job in NYC in the summer of 2016. Louis and his coworker, Jack, made a case to start their company's NYC office. That fall, Louis and Jackie moved into a cozy apartment in Murray Hill, where they stayed for 2 years! In 2019, Jackie received an offer to work at a consulting company based out of Chicago. Looking for a change of pace and an opportunity to spend some time closer to Louis's family in the Chicago suburbs, they packed up their 300 sq. ft. apartment and drove to Illinois, where they bought their first home in the downtown neighborhood of River North! They cannot wait to celebrate this new chapter in their lives with you!
