Registries are very uncommon at a french wedding most people just ask for money.
"I do" doesn't directly translate into French instead they say "Je le veux" which means "I want it"
Usually, it was the bride's parents that pay for the wedding but now that's not the case both the bride and groom's parents share the cost of the wedding.

The French have two ceremonies one at the town hall which they need to have. There they will only have their family and their witnesses they don't have bridesmaids or best man instead they have witnesses. Then the next day they would have the wedding if they choose to which is with more people like friends and more family.
Formal attire like men would wear a suit and tie and women would wear short cocktail dresses. There is no color code unless the bride and groom wish to have a theme and obviously, no one would wear white.
