How and when do I get to the wedding?
Answer
IF STARTING FROM DOWNTOWN Shuttles depart from Kinship Landing (415 S Nevada Ave) Option 1 (recommended): 3:30pm Shuttle. This option allows guests one hour before the wedding to experience The Broadmoor, grab a drink at the historic hotel bar, take photos in front of the stunning lake, peruse the shops, etc. At 4:45 pm, go to The Broadmoor Hotel South (30 Lake Cir.), to catch a shuttle to the wedding. Option 2: 4:30pm Shuttle This shuttle will go straight to the wedding venue up the mountain - guests will not stop at the main Broadmoor hotel at all. IF STARTING FROM BROADMOOR Shuttles depart from Broadmoor Hotel South (30 Lake Circle) This option is for guests staying at The Broadmoor. Arrive between 4:45pm - 5:00pm at Broadmoor Hotel South (30 Lake Circle). IF DRIVING OR UBERING TO THE BROADMOOR Shuttles depart from Broadmoor South (30 Lake Circle) This option is for guests arriving at the Broadmoor by uber/lyft, taxi, or driving and utilizing complementary valet. Arrive by 4:45pm at The Broadmoor (1 Lake Ave) and walk to Broadmoor Hotel South next door.

How do I get back to my hotel after the wedding?
Answer
IF GOING TO DOWNTOWN Shuttles from our reception venue to Kinship Landing (near SpringHill Suites) depart at 10:15 pm, 11 pm, and 12 am. IF GOING BACK TO THE BROADMOOR Shuttles from our reception venue to The Broadmoor depart on demand. IF DRIVING OR UBERING Shuttles from our reception venue to The Broadmoor depart on demand. After arrival at the main lobby, you will be able to uber or get your own car.

Wedding dress code
Answer
Our wedding attire is Black Tie. We require guests to wear formal black tie attire. This means tuxedos for men, and floor-length gowns for women. Please note our wedding has outdoor and indoor elements, and Colorado weather can be finicky, so please bring an appropriate shawl or coat if it seems like the weather will require it.

Welcome Party Dress Code

Our welcome party attire is Western Cocktail. Please wear cocktail attire, with optional western flair! Jackets welcome, nice denim or slacks are great, bolo ties, boots, or cowboy hats welcome but not required! Please note, our Welcome Party will have outdoor and indoor spaces.

Should we eat before the Welcome Party?

Yes! Our Welcome Party will not include dinner. A few sweet treats will be offered. For dinner tips, please see our recommendations on the "Travel" tab.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Due to limited space, attendance is limited to only those explicitly listed on your invitation.

Babysitting
Answer
Children are not invited to the wedding ceremony or reception. Children are welcome to the Friday night welcome party. For the wedding evening, we can provide a list of local babysitters for out of town guests if your children have travelled in with you for the weekend. For guests staying at the Broadmoor, babysitting services can be booked directly through the hotel.

What other activities do you recommend?
Answer
We're glad you asked! We strongly encourage guests to visit the facilities at The Broadmoor. Additionally, if you want a unique sight-seeing experience, check out Garden of the Gods, or Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. For those that love history and sports, we recommend a visit to the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum. For the very adventurous folks, plan a visit to the top of Pikes Peak! More ideas and details can be found on the "Things To Do" tab. Consider planning a few events prior to your travel, to carefully consider options such as a rental car.
