Question

How to get to Château de Vaugrigneuse?

Answer

The Château is located at 11 rue Héroard, 91640 Vaugrigneuse; a 30-min ride from Paris (Porte de Saint-Cloud) by autoroute A10. BY AIR: It's 60km from the Airport Roissy - Charles de Gaulle, about 1 hour by car. BY TRAIN from Paris: - RER C - Take the direction Dourdan La Forêt, get off at Breuillet Village. - RER B - Take the direction Saint-Rémy Les Chevreuse, get off at Massy Palaiseau. Take the bus Express 91-03 in the direction of Gare de Dourdan, get off at Briis-sous-Forge.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes for the Château!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

If you're attending the Ceremony at City Hall, please respect the semi-formal attire. For our Wedding Day at the Château, our dress code will be "Countryside Chic"! The Sunday Brunch will be an outdoor picnic, just stay casual and pretty as you always are.

Question

Can we bring kids?

Answer

As there's no special meals, chairs or arrangements for them, we would not recommend bringing kids to the event. Thank you for your kind understanding : )

Question

What to visit in Paris? Is it safe?

Answer

Some of you may want to combine a trip to Paris before or after our wedding weekend. Please feel free to do so! We would recommend this website for the latest happenings in the city of light: https://www.sortiraparis.com/en/ The must-dos include: - Eiffel Tower - Notre Dame Cathedral + L'Ile Saint-Louis - Louvre Museum - Champs-Elysées + Arc de Triomphe - Cruise on the Seine (e.g. by Bateaux Mouches) - Montmartre - Château de Versailles - Quartier Latin + Luxembourg Park - Moulin Rouge - Disneyland Paris! It's safe to walk around the city. We would just recommend you to keep your phone and valuables close to you all the time, especially inside the metro and RER. Pay attention to the red-light district at night, around Pigalle and Porte de la Chapelle for example!

Question

How to get around Paris?

Answer

From and to the Airport CDG: - If you're taking the RER train, you have to buy a special ticket "to Paris city" from the machine. - For taxis, go only to the Official Taxi Stands. Taxi fare from the airport is a FIXED rate at 55 euros (to "Rive Droite" / Right Bank / above the Seine) or 62 euros (to "Rive Gauche" / Left Bank / below the Seine). NO meter should be used. - For car-hailing apps, we use mostly Uber, Bolt and Freenow. Within Paris: - The easiest is to get a "Navigo Easy" card in most metro stations which allows top-ups (e.g. a "carnet" of 10 tickets at a lower unit price) whenever you want. This contactless card can be used in metro, RER and buses. - If you're staying for a week, consider the "Navigo Semaine" but be careful - this weekly pass starts always on a Monday and ends on a Sunday. - For car-hailing apps, we use mostly Uber, Bolt and Freenow.
