Louisa and Max met at a young adult's gathering... but as fate would have it, Max would accidentally commandeer her pen. He received a message stating that she wanted her pen back because it was one of her favorites. This opened the door for a friendship to blossom. They forged a close friendship for about a year, meanwhile, a love story was brewing. Max finally plucked up the courage to give dating Louisa a shot. The first date was a sigh of relief because it felt like home. This feeling of peace persisted for the next 18 months as Louisa fell more in love with Max and Max fell more in love with Louisa. Things became more clear for Max in April of 2020, and he bought a ring. Things became even more clear for Max on May 16, 2020 as he knew the next day he needed to propose.

Like many of Max's decisions in life, the right moment pops up out of nowhere. The plan was to propose on Thursday, but he realized that he wanted to get down on one knee at a place where he first realized he wanted to become a family with Louisa and Oksana, Shellburg Falls. So over the course of the next few hours, he schemed and got his buddies Brandon and David and his sister from another mister Joy to hide out in the brush and photograph and video the proposal. The weather remained perfect, the setting was gorgeous, and the company was just who it needed to be. Max professed his love (for the thousandth time) and muddied up his knee.
