Question

Will I be walking to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Chimney Top Rock in Red River Gorge. From the parking area, the ceremony site is reached by a short scenic walk through the natural beauty of Red River Gorge. The path is a maintained outdoor trail with a mix of packed dirt, gravel, offering beautiful views along the way. While it is not a paved sidewalk, it is a well-traveled route and does NOT require strenuous hiking etc. We DO recommend comfortable shoes so you can fully enjoy the experience.

Question

What will we be eating after the elopement?

Answer

After the ceremony, we invite you to join us for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant as we continue celebrating together. We will make reservations based on the number of guests who RSVP. Each guest will be responsible for their own food and drinks, and we truly look forward to unwinding and enjoying a good meal together!

Question

What will we eat at the “Getaway House”?

Answer

Guests staying the night at the getaway house will be welcomed with cake, alcohol, mixed drinks, and a selection of light snacks provided by us. Food delivery is also available in the area for anyone who would like something more substantial night or morning.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Since the ceremony will be outdoors and professionally photographed, we kindly ask that guests wear earthy, neutral tones if possible (think browns, greens, and soft muted colors). This helps everything look cohesive in photos. Please wear shoes you can easily walk and stand in, as there will be a short walk & standing. Comfortable, casual outfits are perfect ( flowy dresses, sundresses, or t-shirt style dresses for women, and button-downs or nice dress shirts for men.)

Question

What time is the elopement & how long does it last?

Answer

Once we arrive at the ceremony site, we will share a brief and intimate ceremony at 11:00AM centered around our ring exchange and pronouncement, lasting no more than about 20 minutes. Afterward, we’ll take professional photos together before heading out to enjoy dinner and continue celebrating the rest of the evening.

Question

How will I know the location?

Answer

Each invited guest will receive detailed location information within their invitation, including directions for the ceremony site, the restaurant where we will be dining, and the getaway house for the after celebration. To keep everything running smoothly, a designated family member or friend will help gather everyone at the same place and time on the day of the ceremony so you can all head in together.
