Get out of the city to enjoy some of Louisiana's unique flora and fauna around the Pearl River bayou, guided by a local expert. The day will begin with shuttle pickup in town at 8:30am (for those electing group transportation), taking you out of town to the scenic swamplands with tour starting at 9:30am, then returning to drop off at the same location around 12:30pm. We're happy to organize the booking for all interested parties. The cost of the tour will be $36 per person. There will be an additional cost for group transportation. Please wear comfortable clothing for swampy weather. This is a child-friendly event.
11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Let us treat you to a classic New Orleans activity! Join us for a steamboat cruise up the Mississippi River with narrated history of New Orleans' ports and a live jazz band. Lunch will be provided on the boat. Embark and disembark at the French Quarter. Please be sure to arrive before 11am so that you can make it on board! This is a child-friendly event.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Following the wedding rehearsal, we will be hosting a casual dinner for immediate family and members of the wedding party. Dinner will be located in Uptown, near the wedding venue. Attire is dressy casual.
5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Our ceremony and reception are at an outdoor setting at Audubon Park with a mix of paved and unpaved surfaces. Dinner will be provided. Attire is dressy casual. New Orleans weather can still be quite warm and humid at the end of September, please plan accordingly. We love your little ones, but our vision is to have an intimate, adults-only celebration, with the exception of children that have special roles in our ceremony. Newman Bandstand is toward the SE corner of Audubon park, near the Golf Club at Audubon Park parking lot. Parking will be limited, therefore carpooling and/or rideshare is recommended. Drop-offs can enter the parking lot from Magazine Street. If riding the streetcar, disembark at St. Charles at Exposition (NE corner of Audubon park) and walk along the Audubon Park Trail south toward the Bandstand, veering right at the south end of the lagoon (~15 minutes).
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Come enjoy spicy boiled seafood and sides with us for a casual lunch prior to leaving town. This is a child-friendly event.
