Many airlines fly directly to GDL with average flight time of 4 hours. With the wedding taking place during summer travel months, we encourage you to monitor and book flights early so you can get the best rates. Day of wedding travel: We are working on arranging transportation to and from the venue for our guests flying in. If you cannot meet at the pick up points, Ubers are also easily accessible and affordable. For those driving, complementary valet is available at the venue.
To make it easy for our guests, our ceremony and reception will both be held at our venue, Casa Clementina. Av. Juan Gil Preciado 9001, 45040 Tesistán, Jal., Mexico.
Both. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held in the garden areas and reception will be held in the party space that has an enclosed roof and partial walls (all on property). Due to high chance of rain in the summer months, the set up will accommodate for weather.
Although we love your little ones, we have decided to limit the children at this event to only our immediate nieces and nephews. We encourage you to use this weekend as a mini-vacation. Thank you for understanding!
If you have been permitted to bring a guest, your invitation will include either your guest's name or a +1 notation. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family only. We appreciate your understanding!
Given that this is a destination wedding, we understand not all our guests will be able to make it. If you are 100% sure you cannot travel to Mexico, we ask that you kindly let us know as soon as possible.
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day - nothing is "too extra" in Mexico! The dress code is formal. Woman in formal gowns and men in suits.
Of course, we are in the land of tequila🍹. Build up that tolerance because the tequila in Mexico hits different- please party accordingly!
We are currently working with our talented wedding planners on obtaining hotel room blocks. Please check back in a few weeks for this info! Please note, Guadalajara is a city and hotels are not all-inclusive. We will choose hotels that are in safe areas near everything you might need. We will also provide recommended neighborhoods where you can look into airbnbs for families or groups.
Weather in June typically ranges between 80-90 degrees in the day time and can drop to low 70s in the evenings. It is a dry heat with lots of sun, so we recommend hats, sunglasses and sunscreen as needed. Summer months typically have rain, which in our experience has been unpredictable, much like Chicago. Bright side, no humidity and rain can turn to sunshine in a short amount of time. Rain or shine there is much to do (eat/drink😝)!
We will be sending email notifications for any and all wedding updates. If you have not yet provided us with your email address, please let us know ASAP!
