How do 2 workaholics find their person...? A global pandemic, duh. To be completely honest, we don’t know if we ever would have met otherwise. Or given each other the time it takes to fall in love. We talked for hours on end, texted random questions to get to know each other and made plans for the future. Turns out, we had a lot in common. We both dreamed of going to Iceland...one a viking at heart and the other in love with nature and all of its beauty. The goal was to spend Jonathan’s 40th there, which came and went. Our first date? We met up in the parking lot of an Outback Steakhouse. There were butterflies...a lot of smiling and...that became our meeting spot. They say when you find your person you just “know” and we did. But both of us being in our late 30s, it was still like a dream we had waited our entire lives to experience. We didn’t want to wake up. But our love didn't have an expiration date...this was forever. We eventually brought our lives together and while most of the world was sick of being in the house with their significant other, we grew as a couple and as a family. The more time we spent together, the closer we became. We spent the holidays together and the proposal, as cliche as it may be, came on Christmas morning. Given the circumstances, was there any other place to make it official, outside of Iceland...? This is where you all come in. You are our closest family and friends. We are so excited to come together and have this once in a lifetime experience with all of you. This is our dream and having you there means so much to us.
