We met at a birthday party at Burnt City Brewing in Chicago! The birthday gal was a friend of mine (Kendra's — shoutout to LeAnna!), and Leo went as a wingman for his friend who knew the birthday girl. We had both noticed each other from across the room throughout the night. Finally, I got up the nerve to go talk to the cute guy over there. I went to sit by Leo and his friends, and once we started talking, we instantly connected over speaking Spanish, and discussing 401ks. Leo asked me for my number, and we went on our first date the following week. The rest was history!

We had dinner plans for our 5th anniversary in downtown Bentonville, so we decided to walk! On the way, we walked through the outdoor art exhibits at Crystal Bridges Museum, and we stopped at The Way of Color exhibit. Leo gave me the sweetest anniversary card, which was nothing out of the ordinary, and on the back of the card it just said P.S. When I got to the back of the card and saw P.S., I looked over and Leo was down on one knee! It was the most euphoric moment <3
