Our Story

Time: BC and ...

… after Brian Christopher. For Naomi, that’s how she sees it. Late 2017—newly single, Naomi was enjoying the dating life, a calendar of *mostly (who are we kidding) work & early nights (always needs her 8 hours), she was finally learning that illusive, exciting feeling of meeting new people & getting to know fish in the sea. One night Naomi stumbled on a handsome man on the Internet: Brian Christopher. He was poised in his curated Bumble profile pics, hitting all the marks: a smiley family man, friendly and warm. Plus: maybe Colombian (?). Swipe Right. Life for Brian before Naomi was pretty erratic. Hard worker in the media industry, adjusting to a career change, he always prioritized his career, family & friends over serious relationships. But his life changed forever when he decided to do something new: really give love a shot. Based on Naomi’s profile, her beauty shined, & her intelligence & most importantly her heart of empathy was obvious. The two started chatting, & after a few days (an eternity) of a lot of texting, they met in person for a simple date with what matters most: Sunny and cupcakes. They quickly realized: this is it. The thing that makes you do something crazy. You realize, love is real & the shoe fits. By 2018, after a few questioning looks ("are we really doing this?") the two were in (so was Sunny), & in deep. Since then, life has been filled with good: margaritas in Mexico, hikes in Montana, family trips to Colombia, Netflix at home, as well as the not so great: personal & family sickness, a global pandemic, the everyday ups & downs. But what matters most: they found their fish, & now have each other for all of life's waves. Sunny now refers to Brian as "Dad", & Naomi is a ‘granddaughter’ to Brian's grandmother. Both of their worlds are complete & now one. It’s crazy to see so many fish in the sea, meet one &: "I'm about to do something crazy No more delayin' No destiny is too far We can get a home in Miami Go & get married"
