While Nicholas was away at dive school, Rocky started attending the Bible study where he had been attending for years and given his life to Jesus. Everyone knew they would get along, they just had no idea how well. His first weekend back they hit it off immediately, and the rest of that weekend was spent with friends, getting to know one another and telling their life stories. The two were inseparable. They became best friends over the years, and while there were many trials they had to go through they always had each other. Rocky spent many years praying and waiting and she believed that, in God's perfect timing, He would bring them together. Until then, she would be there for him, a loyal friend. They both took this time to seek Jesus and live their lives for Him, volunteering at the church they attended in any way needed. In serving together they grew closer, realizing they not only worked well together, but had the same values and wanted the same things in life. While family, loyalty and trust were essential, the most important thing to each of them was following Jesus Christ with their whole heart, loving people the way that God has called each of us to, and to show grace, as they have been shown. Over the next six years there was no whirlwind romance, no sweeping off the feet. Just two people walking down the road, each looking to the side realizing the person God had for them was right there. The journey had its bumps, there were hills and valleys, but it was all worth it. Because in the end, their love for one another was refined and proven stronger than most had realized.
