La Jolla Cove
This is beautiful and you get to see sea lions up close beware though this is usually packed with tourist and it can be rather smelly , but its free and you can get some great photos
Cabrillo National Monument
This is a national park the cost is 15.00 per car unless you have a active DOD id then its free, if the tide is low you can venture in the tide pools and see crabs and starfish ,
LEGOLAND Resort
If you have little ones and don't mind a 45 min drive there is Legoland which we can get discounted tickets for you @64.75 per person .
USS Midway Museum
if you are looking to see a aircraft carrier there is the USS Midway free for DOD id holders. Tickets will run around 21.00 per person you will have to pay to park this is downtown so there will be many tourist as well
Seaport Village Station
This is downtown as well has some cute shops along the water and you can walk to the midway from here as well
Ocean Beach
free beach great little places to eat , there is a pier as well great ppl watching parking is free on side streets
Balboa Park
this is a free park and parking is free as well there are small museums in here entry varies as well as a green house Japanese tea garden , some of these are at no cost and some are you'll just have to check the website
