Welcome, family and friends! We're excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
Rudy's Patio Lorraine's side: It was an August Friday night, the Raiders were playing, and Dez invited me to her friend Rudy's. As it turns out, Rudy and I have mutual friends who knew each other, Rudy and I seemed to hit it off immediately, in our awkward way. After getting to know each other over a few hours, the group started talking about a Raider trip that Rudy hosted, Rudy mentioned I would have a good time if I went. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history. Rudy's side: As Lorraine stated, thanks to Dez.com, our story came about in the most unique, but awkward way. We hit it off for the first couple of hours and realizing we were indirectly connected to a small group of friends made it interesting. They called it an early night since she was headed to Vegas and from that point forward the Raiders were my excuse to invite her over. She did end up making the Raider trip and she’s been in love ever since!
Pacific Palms Resort Lorraine’s side: Rudy took me for a weekend getaway to Pacific Palms Resort. It was a beautiful place. Rudy didn’t seem nervous, so I really didn’t think anything out of the ordinary. When we arrived at the resort we checked in and walked to our room. As I walked in the room there was a runway of rose petals, some balloons, and beautiful red roses. My first initial thought was “OMG how cute and sweet of him to do this”. I was rolling my luggage in and when I turned around Rudy was on one knee, and I was like WTH. He looked up at me, while holding a box with a ring in it and said, “will you marry me?” I responded with “are you serious”. He said yes, then I said “of course” Rudy’s side: Truth be told nobody; I mean nobody expected this from me. I had a team led by Athena and Gia decorate the room prior to our arrival. The plan was to check in, have dinner and pop the question in an area on the golf course. I walked in the room first to get a feel of what the room looked like. The room was setup perfect. As I was walking back to let Lorraine in the room, and I see a decorative “Bride to be” pillow. At that moment the proposal was escalated from dinner to right then and there. Lorraine walks in admiring the setup, I go down on one knee and forget my proposal. I stare at her, and my exact words are “I wrote a proposal to say but I forgot it. Will you marry me?”
