We met at the Hotel El Capitan, completely by chance, at exactly the right place and the right time. We quickly realized we had mutual friends, and somehow everyone around us could see the spark before we fully could ourselves. Our friends kept encouraging us to spend more time together, talk more, and little by little we became inseparable. The more we learned about each other, the closer we became, and everything just felt easy and natural — like we were always meant to find one another. Then on New Year’s Eve, we made it official because there was no one else we wanted to start the new year with. Since that moment, life has been filled with so much love, laughter, and happiness together… and honestly, it’s been the most beautiful adventure.

We were sitting in the McDonald’s drive-thru waiting for a dirty Dr Pepper when the conversation turned to marriage. One moment we were casually talking, and the next we were both looking at each other asking, “Wait… did we just get engaged?” It felt so natural, so right, and so full of love that neither of us even questioned it. When we got home, I let the dogs out and walked toward our bedroom, completely unaware of what was about to happen. Then I turned the corner and there he was — down on one knee, looking at me with so much love in his eyes, asking me to be his forever. In that moment, everything felt magical.
