Lorraine and Daryl's journey began in 2017 at U Street Concert Hall in Washington, DC. Lorraine, with her cousin Emely —now her Maid of Honor—had driven up from Richmond, VA for a night to remember, attending a local DMV artist, Kali Uchis concert. That night, Daryl was working security and claimed he spotted Lorraine before she saw him. But Lorraine had her eye on him too. Determined to introduce herself, she confided in Emely and, true to her word, walked right up to Daryl, securing his phone number. That bold move sparked a love story that led to August 17th, 2024, when Daryl proposed. For Lorraine, it was the easiest "yes" of her life. Now, she can't wait to marry her love of her life and best friend, Daryl LaVoy Smith Jr.
