Our story began under the very same roof where we’ll be celebrating our reception, at a high school dance during our junior year. Neither of us could have imagined that years later, we’d return to that place, not as two teenagers at a winter dance, but as two people ready to begin forever. In December 2017, we met at our high school’s winter dance through mutual friends. From there came movie nights, ice cream dates, soccer games, and countless little moments that blossomed into something much bigger. On May 19, 2018, Jacob asked Lorissa to be his girlfriend, and from that day forward, our story truly began. We both attended college in Los Angeles before beginning our next chapter in Lynchburg, VA. Over these eight years, we’ve celebrated milestones: high school graduation, moving away for college, college graduation, and building a life in a new city. Along the way, we’ve filled our days with adventure, from exploring Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Italy to wandering closer to home in New Hampshire, Tennessee, New York, and DC. Ocean City, NJ also holds a special place in our hearts. Jacob spent childhood summers there building sandcastles, playing mini golf, and enjoying time with family. On July 5, 2025, during their annual Fourth of July trip, Jacob asked Lorissa to marry him. With the ocean as their backdrop, it was the perfect beginning to their next chapter. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” it feels as though life has come beautifully full circle. From that first dance to this next one, we’re so grateful to continue our journey surrounded by the family and friends who have supported us every step of the way.
