🖤 First Met - January 2017 🖤 Dru and Lorie met at Gordon State College. Lorie was sitting with mutual friends and Dru decided to introduce himself with a magic trick using a deck of cards. She was impressed! 🎩 🖤 First Date - July 2019 🖤 They had their first date at the movies. Dru brought her flowers and they saw Spider Man: Far from Home. 🎥 🖤 Proposal - July 29. 2020 🖤 The proposal happened in Savannah, Ga while on a trip with two of their close friends. The four of them went out for Ice cream and then walked to a park. Dru then performed another one of his impressive magic tricks and used the cards to pop the question! It was a funny and sweet moment and of course she said, "YES"! 💍
We have taken serious consideration into the state of the world and planning our wedding during a pandemic has been interesting. We are hoping that by November of 2021 that it will be safe to gather and celebrate. We chose an outdoor wedding because we both love nature, but not cramming all our loved ones into a building was a huge factor as well. With current circumstances, we understand if individuals prefer to come to the ceremony and distance themselves from others. We also understand if you decide to attend the ceremony and not the reception as it would be more difficult to distance. And we also understand if you choose not to attend at all. We know that things are difficult and there are no hard feelings if you choose to sit it out completely. We are considering live streaming the event for those who wish to attend in the comfort of their home. In the meantime, we would like to share how we are trying to plan a safe event. We are not allowed to move the wooden benches at the venue. We encourage our guests to spread out safely and we are going to attempt to add extra seating so there is more room. It is an outdoor event and if some people wish to stand or sit in the grass away from others that is also acceptable. We encourage you to do what you feel is safest. Masks are encouraged! The barn itself is an enclosed space. We are planning to use it to house the food and drinks. Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors (weather permitting). Food will be served at the reception meaning that you will be in proximity of unmasked individuals and we ask you to keep that in mind when deciding how you want to attend. We care about you and will try to keep info updated on our site and monitor the situation. -Lorie & Dru
