Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have two hotels with blocks that you can book - at Saint John's Resort itself, which is where the reception will be, or at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road. The Hilton offers a shuttle service to SJR.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

We would recommend it! Our wedding is in Plymouth, MI, which is halfway between Detroit and Ann Arbor. If you want to explore at all, a car is a must.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Formal / Black-tie optional. Let's get fancy! Ladies, longer dresses are encouraged. Gentlemen, suits please!

Question

What are Armenian weddings like?

Answer

Long! Just kidding. Sort of. Our church ceremony will be about an hour, in Armenian and English. After that, it's all about the music and the party. Expect a fun mix of Armenian line dances and Raffi's impeccably curated music. Don't know how to line dance? No problem. Just jump into the circle and watch the person's feet across from you. Our moms will probably be leading.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Autumn in Michigan is magical. It could be 65, sunny and crisp, or raining. Either way, expect to need a jacket. None of our events are outdoors, but for your comfort during the day, dress in layers.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We've decided to limit the children to our four nieces and nephews only. We have so many friends and family we wanted to celebrate with that we've chosen to do an adults only party.

Question

What is there to do?

Answer

Check out our Things to Do section! Plymouth is halfway between Ann Arbor and Detroit, so you can explore the University of Michigan campus or head downtown to see Detroit!
