A little yellow ball is responsible for this love story. Lori and Scotty first met in high school and they both played basketball. Years later Scotty decided to give tennis a try. He saw Lori on the courts when he showed up for his first match. Scotty reached out to Lori about playing and they agreed to meet for a practice match in freezing temperatures. When Scotty beat Lori, she decided to ask him to play in a tournament. They began playing in tournaments and Scotty called her his PFL (Partner for Life) meaning his tennis partner, but little did they realize what that term would come to mean. They ended that year as the number one mixed 6.0 team in the state and over this time, they fell in love. After two and a half years of dating and so many memorable moments, Scotty asked Lori to marry him on the beach at the Gulf of Mexico. To make this moment even more special, Scotty proposed on his mother’s birthday. His mother passed away when Scotty was 13 and is terribly missed.
